About Smartia
The future of industrial operations, from automotive manufacturing to renewable energy generation and anything in between, will be incredibly connected, transparent, intelligent and autonomous as companies try to produce more, quicker, at lower costs and better quality.

At the heart of this transformation, also known as Industry 4.0, is the data generated by billions of industrial sensors and IoT devices. This data flows from machine to machine allowing them to communicate in real-time, is used to monitor machine and process performance and ultimately feeds artificial intelligent models that unlock operational secrets related to trends and anomalies and let us automate repetitive tasks.

Smartia is leading the charge in artificial intelligence solutions for industry.

We are building MAIO, an AI and data framework that is all about collecting industrial data from various assets and then unleashing the necessary analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning or cognitive work to predict equipment failures, streamline production processes and uncover the hidden trends in production processes.

MAIO is the digital backbone that connects machines, people and artificial intelligence to help make industrial operations more transparent and predictable.

About the role
In particular, the Product team owns the company’s product roadmap and works closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales & marketing and professional services to ship beautifully engineered products that are aligned with our core vision and technology goals.

Some of our most important product considerations need to account for our diverse user groups as well as the sheer variety in the data that we collect. While more advanced users like research engineers would like to analyse with the data using code, more basic users such as production operators might be content in static charts. Bearing all this in mind, some of the our UX challenges include striking the right balance between simplicity and intuitiveness, as we build human machine interfaces and analysis tools for effective information dissemination

As a Junior UX Engineer in the Product team, you will work closely with senior business stakeholders to evaluate and define UI/UX guidelines across our products. Additionally, you’ll be involved in frequent design sprints, conceptualising and prototyping application ideas in an iterative manner.
